Phase Four: Payments & Taxes
After all the work in Phase Three is completed, it is now time to move into Phase Four. Phase Four is involves reporting and paying any outstanding taxes or debts, including income taxes and estate taxes. Learn more about relevant tax compliance in estate administration here.
Additional tasks that will need to be completed in this phase include preparing an accounting for the estate, as well as, determining the commission that the Executor is entitled, should they opt to take it.
